Den mystiske unge mor Katie (Nicky Whelan) flytter til en ny by for at slippe væk fra sin fortid og hun bliver hurtigt venner med Angela (Gina Bershon), som også er mor. Angela og hendes mand Brian (Nicholas Cage) lader Katie bo i deres gæstehus og giver hende arbejde som deres babysitter. When Katie (Whelan) moves to town with her young daughter in order to start a new life after enduring abuse in her past, she quickly befriends another mother, Angela, and her husband Brian (Cage). She is soon chosen by the couple to become their surrogate for their long-time desired child. Little does the unlucky couple know however, she is harbouring a dark secret about her past that may have fatal consequences for them and their child. |
